CleanPikieHtml? (checked with DiveIntoOsx:iCab and then http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://ourpla.net/cgi/pikie ):

Is there some reason not to encode & as & in URLs?

(The 5 character string "ampersand alpha michael papa semicolon" was visible before I edited this page; but in the edit box, it was reduced to just 1 character "ampersand" -- is that a bug in my web browser, or in the script that generates the edit page ?)

Pet peeve: CGI software that doesn't support semicolons: http://rdrop.com/~cary/html/html.html#semicolon
