My term for a 'big-vision' look at next-generation technologies, intertwingling all our computer/net stuff. Notes for a 2.0 version of the page linked above:

WikiSymTwoThousandFive

I have some notes on how i organize my stuff to post.

Places & events are awfully tied together (my 43 places top category idea?)

GTD hoohah in general, http://lifehack.org/ also see http://triptronix.net/ishbadiddle/archives/2005/06/19/01.53.20/

LionKimbro?'s record-everything thing (also check into his CommunityWiki:OneBigSoup )

Interesting integrations: ErikBenson?'s site tying together your many feeds - blog, DelIcioUs, Flickr, 43Places, etc. http://erikbenson.com/ - hm, defunct, see http://web.archive.org/web/20060528014636/http://erikbenson.com/

Similarly, http://tribe.net/ lets users construct their page. http://ning.com/ lets people make their own SocialNetworkServices?.

ChandLer - a useful release is coming RealSoonNow?, new blog http://wp.osafoundation.org/

Identity: Kaliya's done some great cat-herding work. An early workshop: http://www.eclab.byu.edu/workshops/iiw2005/announcement.html and it's resulting blog aggregator: http://www.windley.com/events/iiw2005/

Calendar developments:

Other software: User- or at least programmer-extensible metadata in filesystems: wiremine WikiWatching?

There's a lot of noise and fill-in-the-blank-backs about threading blog conversations, which of course wikis handle completely differently by:

Many people find it easier to blog.

Many people want their words to remain identifiably theirs. (This is actually accomplished to a certain degree in many wikis through comprehensive page histories.)
